Building a multi-wallet inventory without clutter

Desk with laptop displaying charts as a stand-in for structured inventories

Once a household passes three devices, a notebook without an index becomes a scavenger hunt. The Portfolio Notebook method starts with a single contents page that lists nicknames, leaf numbers, and spare status — nothing more.

One row per device, one verb for status

Active, spare, retired. Resist inventing seven status flavors. Extra nuance belongs on the device leaf, not the index.

Group by location, not by brand

Readers under stress think “which safe?” before “which vendor?”. Location-first grouping mirrors how Nodeapi Hub maps dual storage sites in Vault Codex workshops.

Archive retired leaves in the back

Do not delete history; move it. A retired section prevents someone from resurrecting an old leaf as if it were current. Questions about team indexes belong on Contact.
